Sanctuary life isn't new, but it is still unique to the areas they serve. Running one can be challenging due to limited resources, research, and funding. These moments connect sanctuary founders/managers, and those relationships are beyond valuable! We want to celebrate it.
What also drives our passion to provide life-long care to farmed animals like chickens, turkeys, pigs, and goats is the unique opportunity for the public to meet and connect with farmed animals as individuals. This impact moves volunteers and visitors in life-changing ways for the residents, the humans, and the environment.

Georgia's Place Bird Sanctuary, founded in 2019, rescues and provides safe shelter for farmed birds who have been dumped, abused, or neglected; while promoting compassionate living and treatment of all animals through education and advocacy.
